Im gonna have a 4 day weekend next week. What all do i need to paint my 5 spoke stocks?

Im going to use Bedliner for durability then im going to give them a darker coat of regular black paint. will i need primer?

How many cans does it take and what grit of sand paper do i use? i got some rough scratches from curbing. also what do you guys use to clean the wheels before you paint? thanks.

90 grit sandpaper, I cleaned my other parts with orange clean and then with thinner, get a can of self etching primer, lay a coat down let it dry for a bit (20 minutes?) then start bedlining. If you want a thick coat of bedline before you put on the top coat of paint I would get 4 cans, 1 for each wheel. When I bedline, I do my coats thin to prevent running and dripping. Spray from about 12 inches away, short bursts with a sweeping motion. I usually end up with 5 coats. That's the way I did my bumpers, grill, and steps. Wheels are getting bedlined this Thurs and Friday, 4 day weekend for me too!

has anyone tried using a cup brush on a drill to rough it up?
I wouldnt do that if the scratches are too deep in the wheel when u paint youll be able to see them go with 120 by hand. Takes about 10 minutes per wheel to get them full sanded. Make zure you clean before and after you sand. I used hot water with dish soap and purple power degreaser.

Don't waste your money on the guide, there's plenty of info and help here on TT. I used a little finish sander I got for $20, made quick work of the bumpers. Take your time, you'll be fine.
