Hey

Just thought I'd throw this out there. Had a dealer call me back today with the bottom line OTD (TTT) 08 PRO 4X BT/ leather, bed liner, mats, bed extender, $33,4000.00 The sales price was $30,300. MSRP $40K. Is this a steal? Should I jump on it, or is this pretty common?

What do ya think???

Seems a bit high compared to the 07 prices.
Personally I think it is a good price compared to dealers here in DE. My sticker was 35 before my rebates and what not. That was the cheapest price I saw and I looked for a month +.

jump on it - and fast.

I got mine OTD for just under $32 and I got mine thru the VPP program which is pretty much the lowest price anyone can get for a new vehicle. And I didn't get leather or a bed extender. Bed liner comes standard.
I picked mine up for 1% below invoice and then $4250.00 rebate (about $8400.00 below MSRP). 2008 CC LE 4x4. Man I love this truck!
If you like it get it. IMO that's not a bad price.
Sticker on my '08 was $36k+. I got it for $28k plus free paint protection and free 7 year/72k extended warranty. At the time, the dealer was selling their dealership to another company and was trying to sell as many vehicles as they could to increase their overall value prior to acquisition. Hey, I was in the right place at the right time.

But it looks like you are getting $10k off sticker, which seems pretty good to me.
I got my 08 Crew cab SE 4X4 with preffered package for 27k out the door. It has full length running boards, tow package, upholstery treatment, etc.
Its about what they are going for around here.
Just look up invoice price online and deduct any rebates from that. The price you end up with is what you should never pay more than.
Don't even bother looking at sticker. Only deal off of invoice.

I got mine for $3500 below invoice with no haggling at all. That was just the price. All the dealerships around here do the same thing for just about any new vehicle. I was also looking at Ford's and Dodge's. All were invoice minus rebates.
If that price is for a crew cab, then thats a good price. I paid about the same for my crew cab pro4x without leathers and got it at 300below invoice a month ago.
$tealer$hip in my town would only drop the price by about $1K on a lifted XE 2WD, then deduct the rebate, claiming they knocked off a total of $4K... BS!

I looked around at other Titans, and at the time, there wasn't much in my area to choose from-- most had bench seats, which I don't like, or didn't have a good meadly of options that I wanted.

So I looked for a used one and found one right away with a lot of options. It was slightly used (low mileage, 10 months old) for MUCH less than the dealer wanted for their base models, so I got a decent deal for my area. (less than KBB private party)

In the future, should I buy another, I will find a dealership that has a plentiful supply, and play hardball... I guess in my area they sell these quick enough that supply is limited, so haggling doesn't work too well when they don't have much to choose from... Being in TX, trucks sell easily.
When you find out what the dealer actually pay for these trucks, $40k is an absolute RIP-OFF! Getting such a truck for $30k, regardless of what the sticker says, may seem great but, I'd get a couple more Gs' off.
This probably wont help, but I got a brand new '08 for around $21,xxx after all the rebates, disounts, etc. Sticker on mine was $28,020. It isn't 4x4 or leather, but it has everything else pretty much. Power seats, windows, keyless entry, power mirrors, extended cab, alloy wheels (not the cheap looking ones), and backup sensors.

They even gave me MORE than I expected on my trade in.

Hint on new cars: Your drive out price (assuming no trade in) should NEVER be more than 80% of sticker. And I mean 80% AFTER TT&L.
Thanks for all the info. I'm still playing the haggle game. trying to get me 08 le 4x4 bt below 30k. ill keep workin on it. had a certified dealer offer me an 06 le or.bt with 47k miles for 25k and he threw in a lifetime warranty(oil chnge, etc for life). making it tough.

Your first problem is you are haggling. Show him the invoice price, take the rebate off of that and tell him that's what you will pay, end of story. Take it or leave it. If he doesn't take it go find another dealer.
In April of this year I purchased an 2007 XE King Cab 4x4 with prefered radio, mud flaps, and Floor mats for 21,600 sticker was 28500. If this helps realize what is possible I hope it helps.
Titan in my sig had 43,000+ sticker price. Got it for 1600 under invoice
& - $3500 rebate.

To those of us who have no idea what your invoice was, how much did you pay for the truck then? There's not a Nissan built today worth ANYTHING near $40K IMO!

I have been looking at the 08s to replace my 04 CC LE OR BT. I saw a blizzard LE Long bed for over $45K MSRP. This was the factory sticker not dealer BS. Every option was checked on the order list on that truck. Now with the rebate you could pick up this truck for about 35K. By the way I might pull the triger tomorrow. I narrowed it down to two 4X4 LEs: Short bed sand stone basic with couple of options (MSRP 39700) or a long bed Blizzard (MSRP 40,440).
