Chrome Anyone?
hello I have a 2004 nissan titan truck and my truck don't have the chrome front it's just plain; you all know painted.So I was thinking can I get mines added for as the chrome front bumper like the other models,if I can where I could go.Dealership maybe:eh:

I did this on my XE. First off, i was in a parking lot and someone hit my front bumper, it did little damage but enough for it to be replaced; so after talking to the bodyshop, they said that they would replace XE bumper for a chrome one if I would pay the additional cost for the chrome that my insurance didn't cover. I agreed, and I also bought a chrome front grille. All in all, the bodyshop did the swap but they made me pay....a lot. For them to install the new chrome bumper and the grille that I had purchased previously, it cost me over $700. Im not sure if this is the route you want to go, but for me it was, I am completly transforming my XE to look like an LE or SE. It may sound stuped to a lot of people but I dont have much of a choice. When I bought my XE, I didnt know a damn thing about Titans at all, so I didnt know that they SE and LE had all chrome everything, side moldings better interior and various other options...needless to say, I was pretty pissed when i found out. I went to the dealership to get it appraised so that I could buy an LE but they appraised it at $10,000 less than what I paid for it 2 weeks previously....I'm still really pissed about this...sorry for rambling

Is this your first new vehicle purchase? I'm surprised it wasn't worse than that. Dealers make more money on trade in's than they do on the sales of the new vehicle most of the time. With all the rebates, dealer incentives, and the poor economy driving new vehicle prices down, dealers have to survive somehow I guess.
Personally, I like the painted surfaces look better on some trucks and I have been reading on this site, a lot of owners are trading off their chrome parts for their black or color painted counterparts.
Where chrome looks the best to me is on black or smoke, but its all about personal taste and preference.
Just enjoy your truck. Its too late to do it over without losing your tail and being mad about it takes away from your ownership experience. Live and learn. :thumbsup:
You might want to try going with a chrome grill and leave the bottom bumper painted. You could always add it later. You should be able to pick up a used grill for a reasonable price. Here is a photoshopped picture of what the grill alone would look like, which I am partial to.
