I installed the chrome door handle caps that attach with the 3M tape over my black handles after purchasing my truck. How do you get these off? Just pry? Also, does it leave any type of permanent damage to the original door handles or just some glue that you can clean off? Thanks

I would use a heat gun to warm up the handles and soften the adhesive, then pry them off and use a light solvent to get off any remaining adhesive (I'd try mineral spirits or similar first).
