I did the 3M on the front of the hood, the painted section between the grill and bumper, fronts of front fenders, windshield A-pillars, front of roof line and lower body...was 800 bucks or something.

I want the hood "wear and tear" kit, on e-bay, I don't think a bug shield would look right. My question is how do you guys like the clear bras? Did you install yours or have it done? I can buy the 3M film pre cut on e-bay, but only one local installer around here, and he wants a fortune to do it. Can you see it easily. thanks--SC

The dealer I purchased from does it as part of the dealer prep fees. Hood, edge of fender in front, and edge of doors to protect from chipping.

Looks and works good so far, but only 1200 miles so far. I saw a truck without that had maybe 15K that had a bunch of small rock or bug chips.

I bought a pre-cut kit for my '07 when it was new. I could do everything but the hood. I lacked the skill to handle curves. I don't remember how much the kit was but it was less than it cost to have a guy come do just the hood with his own material. The ClearBra still looked good when I sold my Titan in 2017.

On my new truck I took it to a shop and had them do hood, bumper, lights, fog lights mirrors, tailgate and 6" along the bottom of the truck from wheel well to wheel well. The hood and tailgate were more labor due to the SUPERDUTY letters being recessed. He did a great job and it cost around $800.

Way to expensive around here, I've called all the installers I could find, most in luxury car dealerships ($$$$$) . All wanted way over a grand, and didn't want to bother with just the front of the hood. I ended getting a bug shield that mounts to the hood, AVS Aeroskin, I have to do something, we have a lot of dump trucks in this area. I had a windshield replaced in my last truck, and it had another chip on it when I traded it in.--SC
