Hey guys, need some help on this one. The last week or two weve
finally been getting decent enough weather to have the windows down on my T sometimes while I'm driving. Well, I noticed when coming to a stop when stepping on the brakes I hear a couple clicks or pops, it almost sounds like a small rocking being thrown from the tire and hitting the underside of the truck, in fact the first time I heard it I thought that what it was just that. Til I heard it again...so I attributed it to the brakes (sounds like from the driver rear) maybe a broken clip or something like that, but also Ive been noticing it sometimes when turning at slow speeds.. Usually (not always) after just taking off from a stop. I've been all under the truck wiggling, bouncing on the suspension, looking for anything...wiggled the driveshaft thinking it could be a ujoint, but everything seems tight... Although while I was under the truck I did notice a leak from the rear differential, thinking a pinion seal. The diff isn't making any howling or grinding, and it wasn't all that low on fluid when I checked ( went ahead and added a little anyway). The thing is, I can't make the truck reproduce this sound all the time...getting annoying. Any ideas?

I had a sound similar, sounded like the receiver hitch bang around in the bed at a stop or taking off. Turns out one shock was loose at the top so maybe???

After posting this I went outside and played around with the emergency brake...depressing and releasing the brake while the truck was sitting still I was able to produce a sound that was similar to what I've been hearing, but would the emergency brake make a noise under normal braking, turning, and sometimes if I hitna bump or something? Pieces rattling around in the assembly?

pop a wheel of and the rotor/drum and check the parking brake pads, they are crap and when they do break apart if you don't catch it early enough you have to replace everything do to damage, symptoms: clicking, popping etc.
