Cluster Panel Issues

quick story: took the T into the dealer for a pop sound in the steering column area along with some other minor things. everything was fixed except the pop. at the dealer they bumped my idle 100rpms, replaced bank2 manifold (seized 02 sensor)and air/fuel ratio sensor, and took the steering column covers off to look for any obvious damage or something.

problem is now: when i shut the truck off( key in or out of ignition), wait exactly 1 minute, all of the gauges on the cluster move further -0, past empty, past cold, etc then start twitching simultaneously for a few seconds then go back to the normal "off" position. there is also a slight groan sound(not the actuators). picked the truck up from the dealer today and taking it back tomorrow. just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas.

btw battery is new, alternator is new, and the battery connections are tight with no corrosion. no weak starts or weird stuff either.
My Titan does the same thing, never saw any side effects of it.
it just started after they worked on it...
ill post w/e it is after they fix it. gauges are not suppose to twitch....side effect or not

lol...i didnt buy a GM because i didnt want GM electrical issues anymore
Are you sure they never twitched before or maybe you didnt pay close attention before?

My truck has done it since it has been new, and i have had 2 clusters. I always figured it was a "self reset". Is the groan sound coming from the gauges or the dash? Our trucks (at least the old ones, dont know about the newer ones) close the vents off when the truck is turned off. I can hear mine close if i stay in the truck after i take out the key.

Not saying that this is the same symptoms you are experiencing, but just wanted to let you know that i have experienced them personally and have wrote them off as normal.
It IS normal!!! My 05 did it, my 08 does it, my Dad's 06 Armada does it, and if you search on here, you will find that EVERYONE else's does it as well. It is a self-reset as one of the guys stated. Perfectly normal for your gauges to do that after you shut the truck down.
yep...its normal thanks guys. something to do with a capacitor and recalibration. tech explained it and i just nodded and agreed lol. been driving titans for over 2yrs now and never noticed it.
