just had my upper control arms replaced and in the process found out that one of my coil springs are cracked so with that being said I'm going to replace both sides so it sits the same on both sides.The question is do i buy strut/spring combo or just the springs? I was just looking on ROCKAUTO website and they have MONROE combos and RANCHO combos or just the springs. Any thoughts ?

They also have a MOOG combo!
moog combo -$105.79 per side
MONROE combo-$126.99 per side
RANCHO combo-$156.79 per side

what do you think?

Honestly if your going to switch out the springs, might as well do the struts at the same time. Better option would be to swap them out to Bilsteins though, Rancho would be the next choice.

the Ranchos are $157.00 per side and that includes the spring. Where is the best place to look at the 5100's ? Rock auto doesn't sell them

one last question...I have a leveling kit put on the front so what setting should i be at on the 5100's or do i leave the spacer out when i replace the struts ? Also what coil springs should i go with ?

Do you have OEM Upper control arms or aftermarket ones? If your running OEM ones than you will have to leave them on the lowest setting. Are you 2wd or 4wd? Most go with the 08+ 4wd springs.

I have a 2004 LE and changed to the 08+ 4wd springs with 5100's front middle setting and back. Allowed me to install 33" tires with the pinch weld mod. Better ride and look. Great advice from forum.

His look is going to be different than yours, you already have 08+ 4wd springs on your truck, since your are an 08+ 4wd...
