One side of my '17 has really bad orange peel texture. I've color sanded a load of cars with the old school 1000 grit wet paper, but I've recently seen dry D/A discs that ran up to 3000 grit. Anyone with experience using dry discs on Nissan paint have any thoughts on them?

Off topic, but get the dealer to fix it?

I agree, bumper to bumper on the truck would cover it, let the dealer take care of it.

The line that you'll get from the dealer is "Orange peel is commercially acceptable." Chances are their detail shop wouldn't do the same job I would. I just wanted to know if anyone had opinions on the 3M Hookit dry system. :)

Do it by hand, wet with 2000 grit. All you have to do is knock down the peel, don't make it flat!
