Hi everyone. Am new to this forum and joined because the local stealership could not provide me with a good answer. I have a 2013 SV and last Friday I went to back up to my travel trailer and the shifter made a clicking noise and this little piece fell out from under the dash. As best I can tell, there was a recall in 2004 for this but have not been able to find anything newer. the local dealer parts dept said they couldn't even order the part as it was part of the entire assembly. It's not broken, just looks like it popped off. Anyone have any info on how to fix or is it still a problem for Nissan?

My thanks to Walrus & 4mula1fan for their quick responses. Original recall in 04 says this piece kept the shifter in park. Judging from the little sketch the parts guy gave me, not sure how that would work. Anyway, based on your comments, guess I'll just keep it in the glove box as a memento.
