I looked but found a lot of people recommending the Infinity References. I've had these before and the highs are just too bright for me. I'm not looking to go crazy so the price needs to stay under $200.

I'll have a 4-channel Alpine MRP F-450 powering these and some Alpine Type R coaxials in the rear doors.

Thanks.
Boston s60 comps use a soft dome tweeter and is very smooth and right at your price range.

"In all honesty Infinity makes some of the worst sounding speakers and subs as does Polk audio and Alpine."

I think thats a little harsh. I'm not an audio "expert" at all, but looking at them as a company and a brand, they didn't get where they are by selling "the worst sounding speakers".

You must have the hearing of a wolf.
In the price range they are in there are way better choices. Infinity tweeters are very bright, .Some people love this. I do not . I prefer a smooth tweeter . Even the quarts are bright but you can take them 6 db down and they smooth right out. I have never had good luck with tuning cars with infinty comps in it and one of the competition vehicles I tuned weekly for Maggie Crye In El Peso had infintys and it was a nightmare to get it smooth . Music System in El peso did a car audio & electronics cover install on this car and it was just hard to tune because of the comps up front.

Anybody have a bad experience with Boston?
I will say this. I have not had to warranty one piece of Boston anything all year long. Subs, amps, comps anything

Have not used any Kicker comps in a year or so . Built a SRT8 Charger for KICKER about a year ago now and it had factory kicker comps in it. Thos e are the only set i have heard in about 5 years . The older stuff would not handle any power at all. Do not remember if I liked them or not . I know we used a huge kicker surfboard amp to power them and they handled it though.
