I bought a used 2004 Titan LE Crewcab a few years ago, w/Big Tow & Off-Road Pkg, that just hit 180k miles. Recently, I lost front carrier oil, due to front-right axle separation. It just went into the shop yesterday, for the front axle work. The Titan is not used for heavy towing, and is basically a family hauler. I was considering having the 3.36 front/back changed to 2.94's for the fuel economy. Is there anything else I should be concern about this plan?

Juice ain't worth the squeeze. You won't gain enough in fuel economy to cover the cost of the rear diff re-gear in anything less than about 80k, best case, and more likely 125k. Figuring 180k miles currently on the truck, adding another 100k is pretty close to high chance of catastrophic repair bill which pushes you into another truck. You'd be better off using that money to buy a small beater car that gets 30mpg.
