Traded my '12 4x4 SV King Cab on a brand new '15 Crew cab SV 4x4 SWB w/ ProComp 6" lift, LRG "Two Time" 20's w/ProComp 35" AT Sport tires & Flowmaster exhaust. Has Nav, SV value PKG, Bedliner, 2.94 rear end. $38.5 out the door. Cool or Fool?

looks nice, not crazy about the wheels though. Hows those 2.94's do with 35's?
$38.5K out the door? With a 2012 KC SV in trade?

Unless you were seriously upside down on your previous truck, I'd have to say "fool".
@DK: I owed $15.5 on my 12 which amounted to a 5,500 trade allowance. MSRP on the 15 was $42k and the lift/tires/rims/exhaust I priced online at $5k if I would have bought them and had the lift installed (I figured $800 labor into that number). So MSRP $42k+$5k add ons=$47k @MSRP. Still fool?

@Honda: I haven't towed anything yet, but normal driving I notice no difference between the 35's and the 33's I had on my '12. yeah they had it already setup so I didn't pick the rims, but they'll do.
If you paid MSRP, you got took. IMO. Then again, it is what it is...
I'm a bigger fan of meatier tires and 18-20" wheels. The lift looks good though. Wheels are all I would personally change, but that's just me.

@4mula: Sticker was $42k plus an $8k addendum. I paid 38.5 OTD. I figure $3k off the addendum ($5k is its actual value) minus $5,500 trade allowance and $3600 in rebates plus $2,400 off the sticker isn't too shabby.

@aplyler: Those are 35x12.5's on 20's I believe ProComp only makes one size bigger in the AT Sports (37's)
If your happy with your deal that's all that matters.

I think you did well and as long as your happy and can afford it, congrats! You factored correctly on the wheels, tires, lift plus labor setup in addition to the dealerships convenience factor for having it all done out the door.

Unless that option package was exactly what you were looking for, it's hard to see it otherwise. Both your '12 and the '15 were almost the same vehicle (with the exception of KC vs. CC and the aftermarket kit), so I'd rather have a $15.5 note vs. a loan almost two and a half times larger.

But that's just me, as others have said, if you're happy with the deal that's the bottom line. I'm still happy with my '08 KC LWB Titan that I paid cash for three years ago.
Cool
I think it looks bad @$$!
I think the price was a little high. I paid $31k for my 15 sv cc in September. It looks sweet and if your happy who cares, but I think 36k would have been the number I would have been looking for. I hope they are covering the lift with your warranty.
Looks sick, but the 2.94 pumpkin would be a no deal for me. (but I tow a TT)
Looks nice and the deal sounds good.
Just wondering though, are the US spec SV different from the Canadian? Up here the SV comes with the tow package (receiver, mirrors, 3.36 rear gear etc. Only the S version has the taller rear end and non tow mirrors.
@Mach1tosh: Yeah it must be. This is my second SV and second with the SV value PKG and class IV hitch. Both had 2.94's. I bought my 1st Titan with the intentions of buying a boat (that never happened). I rarely tow anything other than the occasional small moving trailer. I imagine towing anything substantial with the 2.94's plus my 35" tires would not a happy differential make!
Great looking truck. I think you did well on it. The convenience of having the lift/tire/wheel combo added on and financed through the bank is unbeatable.
