Is a product like Krown Rust Control approved by Nissan? Anyone get their truck sprayed? I had my Ford done with Corosion Free. It was ok but it did swell up a few of the rubber moldings.

You should be asking this of a Nissan Dealership or go straight to Nissan on line and contact them that way. Years ago, almost every manufacturer came out with language that basically ended their endorsement of undercoat products....even those that dealerships were selling as up-sells to a new car sale. Most stated that it would void any manufacturer corrosion warranty. This was due to changes in the material coatings, including plating and paint systems, used in the processing of metals for body panels and under carriage parts done during manufacturing.

Here's a business story on the subject. Five Costly Car Dealer Options to Skip | Fox Business

Even if they say it's OK, skip the marketing and find some straight info on whether it's proven to deliver on the promise, by third party evaluations, to actually provide any benefit. Krown is a Canadian operation, but in the US, Zeibart still does rust proofing, but not very much of it due to all the bad reports about how it damaged the rust control provided by the manufacturers.

After 10 years my frame looks very good. But I do get it washed frequently at a car wash that has a "bottom blaster" feature.

Maybe I missed something... as factory built, or with aftermarket "protection" added? Thanks.

Yeah a little context would help, eh? OEM on the frame. No supplemental protection. But I will point out that the finish on the hitch - the entire thing - and the back side of the bumper aren't looking too good. I use Rustoleum Rust Remover on the hitch and then hit it with some bed liner.

My frame looked gorgeous when I bought my truck (no aftermarket protection at all), ...still does... but, the hitch(an aftermarket u-haul hitch), totally rusted...looked like an old farm implement buried in the dirt for years... to the point where I just replaced it... couldn't believe the two were on the same truck.

I swear the PO owned a boat... a salt water boat. My bumper is ok though.

Although.. now that I think of it... one of the nuts on a brace was quite loose... wonder if they replaced it... hmmm..especially with the way the e-brake stuff looked when i got it..

The next truck I get I'm going to apply bed liner to all the forward facing surfaces on the underbody. All the road debris really takes a toll on any finish.

On the Ford forum there are a good number of Raptor owners that are switching to Superduty trucks. Apparently they liked the 6.2L gas engine in past versions but don't think much of the eco-boost in the Raptor. Chris has the eco-boost and seems quite pleased. But these guys aren't your normal truck owners. One of them had a Rousch Raptor. Oh, they're switch to the 6.7L diesel. That seems like a strange change.

Well I picked up my truck yesterday and today it's going in to get Krown Rust Control. I know that product works, it's been used for years around here. I'm in northern Ontario, we use lots of salt and brine on the roads and its hard on vehicles.
The dealer wanted me to buy a corrosion module they sale, it's Final coat. Of course they say this is not like the other modules... Either way, I couldn't find much on that specific model they sell other then a complaint about making a claim. It was denied because there was no perforation.
