So ive had my titan for exactly one month but i have somw questions...
1..there is a digital box under the dash next to the obd2 connector..i kinda think its for towing but not 100% sure...im new to 4x4s and never really towed before.

2..there is a label under the hood saying that it has a remote control starter...does anyone know about that? Cuz my truck doesnt have remote start.

3..Whats the best brand of oil for these trucks? I read somewhere that the VKs dont like synthetic oil too

I just found out that my truck has the tow package and the plaque on the diff says its a 3.36 ratio axle. Im pretty stoked about that...the whole time I thought it was the 2.93

The box is trailer brakes, very possible you have a remote start on it (if yo do there is likely a kill switch of some type below the dash in the area by the trailer brakes), what does the key fob look like? I use Mobile 1 extended performance and a Mobile 1 filter

How do u operate the trailer brakes? I see theres a blue knob on it. My key fob is normal...just has unlock, lock and the panic button.

Lots of audio shops do installs for anywhere from $199 up to 7-800 depending on what you want. I've always had a simple one way, Viper, Astro, Arctic start and currently running an Autostart brand. There is a place across from Scheels on Western here in SF, that usually has a special going on. Sure you could find a place in Fargo too if that is closer.

Press your lock button 3 times and wait about 10 seconds. (hood closed, doors closed)

There's a couple units out there that wont have a separate FOB for remote start and that can be the method of triggering it.

A company called Fortin makes a nice one (put it in wife's Mazda) and that one works like that.

My remote starts works by pressing the lock button 3 times . Dealer didn't even know it had remote start. Freaked me out when I first discovered it.

I tried that this morning actually n it didnt work...ill try it again n see later

If you look under the hush panel below the steering wheel you might be able to see something wired to the ignition switch... maybe stick your cell phone up under there and snap a couple pictures ... we can play where's Waldo

My wifes car uses the Lock button 3x...
Maybe the PO took it out when they traded or sold it.. but it would hardly be worth the effort to do so unless they had a real pricey one in there...

BMV said the lock button, not the unlock button...
