i go with what 07 TITAN said, kicker is my favorite audio company. I use there subs all the time just from the pics i showed you. And in my pictures i am running two 12" kicker cvr's, but there only 400 watts rms. But still sound great.

I may be changing up my system in a couple weeks. If your interested it is a pair of 10" Kicker L7's in a Tech12volt FF box.
Not to thread hijack, but how do u like that system, sound? and was this in a cc or a kc? I have been thinking about switching my system up and running this exact thing!! So maybe we all could work out a deal somehow b/c i am running basically what he wants. two 12" kicker cvrs on a 1000 watt amp pushing 850 watts rms.

tha great p- idk if you were talking to me about how long i have had my subs and different things but i got mine installed roughly in march. I have only had the truck since december. and i have no idea on db's im pushing. I mean its plenty for me and i have owned subs like these before. Now the L7's will hit more db's and will get where u want wit the 140db's b/c they are ff and the box was made for tech12volt!!! Now for those other subs you posted, i dont see anything wrong with them, the big thing is to make sure the right air space is used and dont over power shallow mount subs, i figured that out, i blew two different sets, thankfully i got them really cheap from a friend but still sucked!!! i love kicker and they have never let me down. L7's are definetly awsome though had one in my taco before this truck and it would bang!!!! just one 12" L7!!!

What I would do to get all your answers in one swoop, contact Crutchfields Tech Support, they have helped me out in the past, they have alot knowledge and have access to a wide range or resources. They also have a subwoofer fitment guide, for a KC I assume you don't have much space, I actually have a CC so I have a little bit more working room. I would recommend a downfiring enclosure. You can tell if your amp is mono if there is only one set of input out terminals. A mono block will work great with two 2 ohm subs. But give crutchfield a quick call and see what they can tell you, won't hurt any.
I agree with everything he said for specific questions you can contact them. but the only thing i am not agreeing with is the downfiring box. I had it and you will not like it and just doesnt give the hitting like you are wanting. I say a uf or a ff box for sure!!

That link i gave you in that email, they have another box i think that is 100 dollars and it would work with those subs perfectly but its downfiring also! im just not a fan of downfiring but its a cheap box and its made well! like i said thats the box i have but converted it into an uf box and like it alot more!!
