CST Lift

I'm trying to get all my research in before I buy my truck in 1 month. The 4wd will be my first choice but if I can't find one I'll get a 2wd. So this leaves me with the CST 7" 4wd kit and the CST 8"2wd kit. Does anyone have either of these kits? Have you received any problems with the kit? How do you like it? Pros/Cons? Any input is greatly appreciated. I will be ordering this from Greg because I hear he is a pretty solid guy.

Thanks in advance!

God I miss home. Nothing but good comments with the cst lift. Best bet.
So we don't read about what you can tow in about a month, unless you are going to have one of those street only wagon wheel trucks, get the factory tow package...
Yes PRG is the Titan suspension place...
i have the cst 8" lift i am happy with it and i am not easy onit off road and it has held up great, if you order it from greg in order to get best performance from the lift i would go with the prg upper control arms and raceruinner coilovers and if you are serious get some air bumps
CST kit is the best and the pro comp kit is nice as well. 4wheel drive magazine did a test on all the lift kits on the market for a chevy silverado and out of all of them they rated the CST the best. now granted its for a chevy the CST kit for the titan is extremely stout! a bit more cutting is involved over the ProComp but have only heard great things from CST kit owners. Tillery had the ProComp lift and after abusing it hard, he feels there's something loose. even took it to an offroad shop, had everything tightened down and he says it still feels loose or its flexing. so i dunno. i'd definitely stick with the CST. CST spindles in all of their kits are stout! the ProComp spindles look like crap, frail looking. PRG is the way to go for best everything and he'll give you the lowdown. definitely get the big tow package and if its a 2wd you can build them up to be some badass machines!!!

@ Loufish- I inted to do offroading and mudding. That is why the 4x4 will be my first choice. If I need to tow then I'll just use the work truck.

@ tutttitan- I couldn't find the mods on the prg website, but from the looks of it I am going to have to wait for that upgrade. You said you ride your truck pretty hard offroad and all you have is the 8" CST lift parts on it at the moment, correct?
Thanks for the input Hooligan. Your post just made me feel VERY confident about the CST lift. I am really looking forward to this purchase!
I've on this website for the past week, around 4 hours a day, just doing research. I love it.

there's a ton of guys with CST components one way or another. their products are overbuilt and withstand abuse. i've hammered mine out in the desert several times and the CST spindles i have are literally bulletproof and i will use them inconjuction with the Mid-Travel kit. Kartman, SDtitan1, Maxima619, Bechlyf, Mantis, Kevdizzle just to name a few beat the f0ck out of their trucks and they all have CST something or another and they'll tell you the CST components take a beating. even PRG has a custom Long-Travel setup on his 2wd Titan with CST spindles he customized to work with his custom LT kit. the ProComp may be a bit cheaper and be less labor intensive in terms of less cutting but the CST is worth the extra green!

also, you'll definitely want the 4wd titan especially out there in Hawaii!

CST no ka oi!!!

Ahh bradda, but I'm moving to Florida in one month to work. That's when I'm going to buy the Titan; I guess it works out. I wish I had the Titan out here then I would be able to some extreme off-roading. I know of some heavy duty offroading spots in Florida though. The gas will be mo betta in Florida too..
currently all i do have is the cst lift , im just planning to get the prgs a saw all around when money allows, i actually have stock shocks still and the only thing i have managed to throw off is my alignment, which was an easy fix cst is strong and an easy install you should have no problem installing it yourself, i did it with ease

oh yeah, fo sho braddah! you'll definitely want to get a 4x4 especially in that part of the south!!!! even if its an XE 4x4!!! now, if you were moving to SoCal i'd say you wouldn't need the 4x, just 2wd with travel and you're set!!!

you'll see most of the titans at our last SoCal offroad meet have some sort of CST component.

Sick photos hooligan. Yea the 4x4 is totally my first choice. I actually want a black XE haha! I want a black front... No chrome brah, I'm going to black it out. My last truck had alot of chrome. I'm going to shoot for a different look this time around.

@ tutttitan- That's exactly what I wanted to know, thanks! I just wanted to make sure I would be ok with the stock suspension, maybe I should of asked it in my original post. I'm in the same boat, I'll switch out all the shocks when money allows.
