Damn airbag light

999 Views 14 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  rrumaner
I just installed an alpine dvd indash into my 07 Titan and now my airbag light is on. I'm pretty sure it happened when I disconnected that connector right below the a/c controls. Anyone know how to erase the light so I don't have to make a trip to the dealer?

Do a search.....I do believe it's in the "How to" section.

I think i remembered seeing it in the audio/video part but dont remember, there will be a little trick you do with turning the key on and off/few time and counting.it helped me get mine off after about a year of it constantly blinking.
hey guys, what can be done to get the seatbelt light off(besides buckling up)..I rarely wear mine and that red warning light sure is annoying...thanks for any info

Buckle up, The seat belt has kept me off the dash a few times.

Let me guess...you are under 21, think you are invincible and will live forever regardless of what you do.

Buckle up and stop being an idiot or we will not be seeing you on here anymore.

It's as simple as sompleteing the circuit on the two wires that run to the belt. Easy way would be like a tap splice over both wires so they are touching.
.....or just buckle up... Seems pretty braindead simple, to me? :bangit:

Wow I really hope this was a sarcastic post...

Or else I bet "you're more likely to live w/o a belt" argument is forthcoming
 Wasn't a thread shut down yesterday b/c some idiot wanted his seatbelt light to stop blinking? How hard is it to put your freakin' seat belt on? Maybe this is why we hear about fatalities all the time, ehh?
Yeah I can't do it. If I don't have it on I'll kep reaching for it without thinking about it. Drives me nuts not having the belt on.
Thread closed.

We do not advocate nor will we allow support for those that want to break the law. Posts detailing how to disable the seatbelt alert and warning light will be closed immediately from now on.

It isn't a matter of "there are too many laws already" or "it is your right to do what you want in your own vehicle". It is simply against the law to drive without your seatbelt on and we will not allow discussions on it to continue here.
