Yesterday we entered the dark side. Went from a F150 3.5 eco to a new Titan SL. Need to get to know the vehicle, but the pricing was exceptional. Could not even get close with the new Ford, at least not with how well the Titan is equipped. At this point there is not a lot of inventory left, so the truck is a Texas "edition", a lot of gaudy chrome. Not planning on tinkering with changing this and that, just get a cap and replace the "car tires" that come on these trucks. Joined here to follow for any issues that show up. Fords are good trucks, but the deep discounts lured me in.

I just got my first Titan at the end of July . I have been driving Chevy's most of my life but this Titan has so much more equipment than any Chevy I have owned . So far the only thing odd is the whistle while fueling up .
Yea, same here. Kind of embarrassing when you pull up in a fancy truck and it's whistling like a bird when fueling up.

I just play it cool and blame the gas pump..

I've always likened it to the alien tune played in Close Encounters. I figure it signifies the other-worldly power and coolness of my Titan.

So he joined the dark side?
Welcome to the dark side.
There are no cookies. I've been trying to find them for years.
Do not get a desk job. It can damage your post count.
Buckle up buddy. You bought into a cult truck. I think you will like it. Most people do and that says something right there.

My first gen Titan has NEVER whistled or made any strange noises when being refueled. This is after gassing up in Colorado and 14 other states in my travels. Does this mean I get additional cookies, or is it the gas pumps y'all are using?

There was a "recall" on the sending unit for some model years. There were a number of members that complained about the noise after the recall was done. I had the procedure done on my '07 and didn't have any whistling but it did gurgle more after the procedure.
