I know, Datsun never produced aTitan, however, if that got your attention, PLEASE, PLEASE, read entire post as your definitely knowledgeable and I'm poor, can't keep pouring parts into my 2008 Nissan Titan SE pro 4x4. I I purchased what seemed to be great deal on this pick up truck from pictures, video of the truck running. It starts Everytime instantly, perfect idle at 1 Grand rpm, no miss, smoke, nothing. As soon as I get to 3 Grand rpm, it was back firing type sound, blue smoke very bad. I changed the plugs and the right side bank, all 4 plugs in that side were in the poorest condition I've ever seen. The left side bank, they weren't bad at all. I also went ahead and put 8 coil packs on new also, along with oil change and Lucas treatment at 132,000 miles. The smoke seems to have stopped but the po300 code still on reader and check engine light is on but when I put the pedal into it is when it Biggs down and even with new stuff still flashing check engine light. I've noticed that the muffler system from the front to the back is pretty much shot in several places and thought one side is free flow side and other intake, or thought could it be the exausht?? It's idles and no miss our smoke until 3gran rpm and it starts, smoke and all?? I've also checked for vaccun leaks and none found but huge sucking sound coming from ran air but my father declares that's what it is suppose to do?? Anyhow, I'm blessed in many ways but financially with Christmas around corner too, I just pray a Nissan mechanic or owner who has had similar issues could please share your thoughts. My father is retired mechanic but getting close to 80 and lost some of his everyday "mechanic sense's" just from the sound I've seen him in past diagnose and hit it on the head but 15 years into retirement ( he has the dealer even change his oil, he will never work on another car he claims but has been trying to help me trouble shoot but he thinking it's a burnt valve? I have no clue but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
