I went in for a meet & greet with the dealership people last night. Got to sit and talk to the owner, the parts manager, the service manager and techs and a few others.

I found out about a very nice perk that doesn't cost me anything. They provide a website for their customers use. On it is a complete list of everything ever done to my vehicle at the dealership, maintenance schedules and photos of my truck before I took ownership.

They have a section on there that let me opt-in/out to send me automatic recall notices (when they come out), special deals on service, changes to their hours, and a whole host of other items that will make keeping track of what is done to my truck a lot easier.

Everything that is done on the truck is entered into their computer which is instantly updated on my web page. I can even track the work as it is being done from home if they enter it in a timely manner. Now that is a nice way to do business.

I can set up service appointments from there, check maintenance schedules, and check out local events related to the truck and the dealership.

I bought mine at the main store on Ogden but they do the same for those that bought at the Automall as well. I have never been more comfortable walking into a dealer as I have been with these guys.

When they finish remodeling the place it is going to be awesome.

BTW, how did you know I was talking about Gerald?

You got good eyes. Either that or you are spending way too much time enlarging my pictures looking for subliminal messages. :)

You know the area pretty well.

Yeah, I had to figure it out pretty quick.

I'm glad to hear that Gerald is taking care of you.

You do know you can press that little "EDIT" button on the bottom of your own posts to make those types of changes don't you?
Actually, no I didn't know that. I never have been one to get involved in a forum such as this. In the past, I would look through them for info, but never really posted.

Word to the wise, if you didn't know...

These sites benefit the dealers (and the mega parent companies) more than the consumer. :computern
Just remember to act surprised when you "bump" into the salesman, or mgr or service mgr when you drop your truck off (they will have been waiting 10mins to "bump" into you). These services allow them to add more info to your growing file they keep, and try to up sell you more parts and services and in a couple of years a new truck.
I am not bad mouthing them, especially if you get some use out of it, just remember even when your in the shop your still on the sales floor in their eyes.

Oh I noticed that the last time I drove up. They have a guy literally standing in the window with a two-way radio. He is there to notify the salespeople that a person is entering the store. If they recognize you, they get your salesperson instead so that he/she is waiting at their desk for you. I saw him 'running' out of the breakroom and trying to get to his desk before I got inside. His problem was that his desk was right by the window, I am very observant and saw the whole thing.

gee, I would be glad to find a dealership that was interested in my money around here. I would not bitch about good service like that. Hey, I have to remind them that I have to pay, and it takes 3 days to get an alignment.

If you are serious, they are building lots of houses around here. :jester: Just move up here and go to my dealership.

Hey RedMunsta, i'm originally from Butler. Did you go to Butler High School or just buy the truck there?

No, I'm actually from Plum Borough near New Kensington, but there are no Nissan dealers left in my area. Butelr is about 30 miles from my house. My brother lives in Butler, and I went there after a bad experience at a Nissan dealership near Pittsburgh Airport. By the way, they've treated me very good so far at Country Motors.

Hi Roy! Haven't seen you around! Flash the blue lights if you see me or my wife in the truck (same as yours, no off road package, king cab).

The other guy, move here, but don't go to Gerald. Please. Read my post... all that shouldn't happen to one truck/owners that consistantly.
