My Deaver leaf springs have different eyelets. Which eyelet goes on the front and back? One eyelet has two layers of leaf springs around it and the other eyelet has a single layer. I'm hoping that the OEM springs will be the same and shed light on this once I start removing them. (This is for my Ranger, not my Titan)

I would like to register my SWAG that the double (a/k/a military) wrap goes in front, cuz that is the one that I would not want to have unroll. As many Titan owners have found out the hard way, failure at the rear end of the spring just sends the leaf through the bed but hasn't yet killed anyone, AFAIK.

That seems reasonable to me.

I'm almost done with the install. What a pain in the rear. All the bolts were "welded" to the bushings and had to be cut off and the shackle bracket is riveted to the frame, not bolted. I took the bed off to make the install easier. Way easier this way. The diameter of the Deaver u-bolts is larger than the holes in the plate they go into. Gotta wait for a store to open tomorrow and get a drill bit that I can use to make the hole wider. Same problem with the leaf spring centering pin.

Your guess was the right one but perhaps for the wrong reason. The leaf springs are not symmetrical front to back. From the center pin to the eyelets the back half is longer than the front half and all I had to do was match similar measurements from the OEM springs. These Deavers are heavy! 57 lbs according to UPS. I had to move the axle forward about 3/4" to match the leaf spring pin to the hole in the axle flange. That's a lot better than moving it backwards so I'm not concerned.

I emailed install questions to the folks at Deaver over the past couple of weeks and they were very helpful and responded quickly. Should I decide to upgrade the springs on the Titan I'll be getting them from Deaver (it's not like there are a lot of options when it comes to leaf springs for the Titan anyhow).
