I have a fairly simple question for anyone who has installed driveline shims to reduce vibration associated with lifts:

Does the order of installation go (from the bottom up) axle, lift block, shim, leaf pack? Also, the thicker end of the shim goes to the rear of the vehicle correct?

As far as my rear end question, I've been wanting to ditch all of my blocks and spacers for a while. Right now I have a 3 inch lift block in the rear. I've been considering Icons for the rear to replace my 5125s. That being said, can I eliminate the block by combining Icons and something like a deaver c-30 pack to achieve the same height? I've heard mixed reviews about the stiffness of the c-30s, but I imagine with the Icons it would still blow the 5125s/stock leafs away.

Lastly, with those upgrades in mind, is there anything else I should be looking at to beef up the rear? New shackles/u bolts?

Any info or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks all.

I think the C30's ride pretty good with the bilsteins, I will be adding a 3 inch block but dropping the shackles to minus 1".
Id add trac bars for sure.

Oh, my "yes" was about ditching the blocks. I don't know how the shims work.

So I ran in to some issues getting my shims in. Not only could I not get the U bolts off of the driver side, but I also need to order some longer centering pins. Does anyone happen to know what size I need? I think I remember reading 5/16 in a post somewhere, but I couldn't track it down again. I wanted to make sure before I ordered.
