Why not make a lounge for locals to chat..? I just got my truck.. its an 04 (I know first year - but for the price I couldnt resist) 4x4 king cab...

I better update my sig - mods are already on their way. I will be doing timing advance today since I have the Cipher (OSIRIS/UPREV). Im on the list too - if anyone needs it done..

The 2 Degree Advance

CFS dual core radiator also on the way cause i dont want to have to deal with the OEM plastic crapping out on me. Transmission cooler (external) and of course all new hoses.. Im going to wait on wheels for now (if I can hold off).

I love Nissan - own a 05 350z that I drift with (sometimes auto-x but drifting is my fav!) has all the bells and whistles (minus boost).. ...and now the Titan (my first V8)...

I saw the meet thread - surprised of the lack of participation. Soon there will be more activity in here.. I already know a future titan owner and BlueBob (I was part of DNE back in the day too in my Maxima - but Blue's been in the game way longer)

This is going to be a BAD A$$ turning wrenches wkend for sure!

info on the RAD I got - looks like its a stillen BUT its WAY cheaper than if you buy from Stillen themselves..

CSF 3328 - Also known as CSF Race Performance Radiator / Stillen

This is another All- Aluminum radiator. This is the 2-row model which is slightly thicker. It has been reported that this was the radiator that Stillen was selling in the past and might be selling again right now. There are threads that say that when they ordered a Stillen radiator, they received a CSF 3328 box.

Specs:
CSF RACE TRACK PERFORMANCE RADIATOR, ALUMINUM CORE/ALUMINUM TANKS, 2-ROW -- 23.44 x 27.12 x 2.06 in. core size, 27.12 x 2.75 in. inlet/outlet tank size, 1.38 in. top right hose fittings, 1.38 in. bottom left hose fittings, 18.12 in. transmission oil cooler size; Special race track model supplied with oil cooler;

Engineered to the highest specifications; No need to move fittings, drill additional holes, or stretch hoses to fit properly because it will fit exactly the same as with the original manufacturer's parts; Designed with CSF's advanced technology deep drawn tanks.

Radiator installed - CHECK

Transmission cooler bypassing radiator alltogether - CHECK!

Everything is running smooth - takes some time for the tranny to warm up...

Old radiator DID have a crack in it (I didnt even know!) so Im so happy that I did this...

I have a few pics of the install that I have at home - will have them posted this evening.. I still need to find something to plug or cover up those 2 connections on the radiator where the trans hoses use to go..

Next up - rear axles and the drum brakes..:read:

Take note - this is after about 15 mins of driving after everything is warmed up... Its gonna be a HOT one this summer... This is going to help bigtime..

Also after about 30 mins - the temp on the tranny gets right the "cog" gear lookin thingy..lol

Pics of my Trans Cooler ByPass and Radiator install

This is how Im rolling now - I need to find something to plug these up...open on both sides...easy fix though

Trans cooler bypass - I used the OEM one as well...so mine is going from the tranny to new cooler, to OEM cooler, then back to trans (bybassing the flow through the radiator only)

OLD CRAPPY Radiator - so long and good riddance..

New Dual Core CSF/ Stillen baller Radiator - FTW!!:redblob"

OEM vs NEW - From what Ive read, everyone loves them and they are solid....lets hope that is true.. I like to fix it right and do it ONCE - I dont want to fk with it later on while Im hauling something..

All new transmission hoses.. got them from VatoZone (AutoZone).

I also replaced ALL the radiator hoses with new ones - the old ones were about to fall apart..

DONE! Radiator INSTALLED and Tranny Cooler Installed!

Now on to the Axles.. I want a diff cover as well, dont know which one to get...new drum brake pads (since Im sure my current ones are covered in axle grease)

New one installed - took about 15 mins...quite easy actually. These are supposed to be changed every yr or so..

I hope this and good in car SQUASH (air freshener) will help...previous owner smoked like a chimney.. UGH...

Finned Diff cover finally came in...

How come the cover specifies 75w140 ONLY and on the FSM it specifies 75w90?? I dont have trutrac or anything - just an open diff..

Regardless - I have to tackle the rear axles, rear drum brakes, and finned diff cover tomorrow..

SlimJ - Love the work youve done on the truck so far man... really both rides look fantastic!

sweet rides slimj!!! my wife wants an armada pretty bad...

Hey, anybody interested in a DFW meet and greet? Suggestions on location? Date? I couldn't go to the last one due to my surgery, but I am back at it now!! Let me know. if we can spark some interest, I will start a new thread to get some details.

At first glance at my calendar, I am available the last weekend in July. 30th anyone?
I think theres a meet and greet thread already - lets bump it since Blue and Dallas_Titan are already in the mix...
