I recently had a little run in with a dirt bank and well, the bank won. By the time it was all said and done I had wrecked my 2008 differential, bent my axle shaft and tore up the axle seal on the driver's side. After asking around a little I came across Advanced Four Wheel Drive in Salt Lake City, UT. They specialize in converting 2wd vehicles in to 4wd, such as full size vans, motor homes, ambulances, etc. Well turns out these guys stock everything necessary to build a Titan D44 from scratch. I was able to be out the door for about $750. That was for the differential, driver's side axle, all new races and bearings, as well as the seal. I dropped my truck off at 9 and picked it back up at 2. They stock parts for the early model rear ends as well as th 2008+ rear ends. They will also put any axle you like into the Titan; D60, 9 in, etc, and claim they can even recover the cruise control with different gear ratios. I can't attest to that, but that's what they claim. All in all, after Nissan wanted $2250 for a new rear end and Advanced was able to take care of me for $750, I walked away very pleased. Just wanted to share my experience with these guys for anyone else who destroys the crappy Titan axle. At least for guys in or around Utah, we have options.

Yeah advanced is pretty good, they pissed me off though and ill never go back. Awhile back my buddy blew his gears out and they charged him $150 for a used set of 3.36 ratio. Then about 3 weeks later I blew out my 2nd diff and they upped the price to $300 for a used gearset! Their excuse was "oh supply and demand".. So I got a set off car-part for $100. But if you're looking to upgrade to an aluminum finned diff cover they sell them for $25 bucks. So even if they have to ship it you're still not in it very much!
