Anyone know how to take apart or take off the plastic knob on the end of the column shifter? I see it has a little circle that is a little bit loose on the back side, perhaps it has to do with this? If anyone has advice or a diagram, it would be awesome. I'm trying to get to the actual electrical switch for the + shift on the manual shift mode.

Any help would be appreciated.

I already did that to fix it partially. At first it wasn't working at all, but I found a wire that was cut and soldered it back into the harness. But now my + shift doesn't work, it only shifts down. I figured the switch for shift up got blown, and I wanted to get at it to try to fix it, but I couldn't figure out how to get at the internals of the manual shifter part.

Darn so I guess no one's ever tried to fix this problem themselves before? I guess I'll try to test new ground then sometime later this summer once I have to some money to buy another column shifter incase I screw it up
