All CAI's do is make more noise & let more dirt in, leave the factory one in place.

So here's what I made up. Obviously most cold air kits you can buy would squeeze out more power than this, but this was 1/6th the price and works way better than stock so I'm happy with it for now. Decided not to go with pvc but instead used the stock tubing and just cut the top of the air box off which let me couple the stock tubing with the 45 elbow. I made sure to leave about an inch of tube on the cover so I could reconnect it if i ever need to. I also cut some holes in the front of the bottom section of the stock air box for more flow and possible ram air in the future. The storage container I bought fit perfectly in the bottom of the air box to serve as a heat shield and I already had the metal duct tape from a previous job. It's not perfect but it definitely gives some more torque for way less than what you can buy online.

Parts list:
- pod filter $25
- 45 degree elbow $8
- coupler $13
- storage container $6
- metal duct tape $8
- total cost $60
