I know this has been asked 100 times, but searching with so many results gives me nothing.

I am planning 2" front spacer over 08 4wd coils - approx 4-5" lift
and in the rear either 2" AAL or 2" block

-do I need longer sway bar links?
-what is the cons to just removing the swaybar?

-will I need new longer rear shocks for 2" lift?
-are you guys with 1.5" rear block getting new shocks?

truck is 06 king cab 2wd

many thanks.

I'm not sure where you got that 4x4 coils give an extra 3" of lift but if you plan on doing 4-5" in the front then yes you need longer end links. Stock ones are good for up to 2.5" on 2wd. Furthermore, if you plan on doing more then 2.5" then you'll need new UCAs as you'll be getting CBC.

thanks for the reply..
multiple posts state 08 4wd coils will give you 2-3" of lift on a <08 2wd.
Here is one example.
the newest style bilsteins are reportedly giving people zero lift on the bottom settings now. the first generation ones give .5 inches on the lower setting. The settings are now 0, 1, 2 or so I have read. If you are wanting to level a 2wd I would go with the bilsteins and the coils you have ordered and put the setting in the middle. 04-07 4x2 coils are 13.2"
04-07 4x4 coils are 14"
08+ 4x4 coils are 15"

regarding thte CBC. thanks for bringing that up.
I read in a few threads that changing the coils will not directly result in CBC b/c is does not change the geometry of something (idk can find the post atm), but adding a spacer, like 3" can cause cbc due to moving the entire strut down. Now I don't know if that is true or not, but I figure I can grind some to remove any cbc I get and if still needed, get upper control arms. or switch to lift spindles.

I would do spindles before anything else, and yes you will need longer shocks if you are adding more than 1" in the back.

you've done your research! its true, older 2wd titans get a bunch of lift from the new 4x4 springs. Might wanna get Rough Country upper control arms on the list too, not sure if the stocks will be good for that much lift

stock UCAs on a 2wd are good for up to about 6" - anything more is a no-go on stock UCAs.

CBC is a possibility, i have only VERY minor CBC on a 6" lift and that is at full compression

no you will not need longer sway bar end links.

and yes, anything more than 2" in rear will need longer shocks.
