Starting this morning when my front passenger side door closes it makes a clanking sound instead of being quiet. I looked, but can't see what's causing the noise. I assume it's the little plastic piece that accepts the metal bar from the door. Has anyone ever experienced this and if so what's the fix? Thanks!

lower door hinge might need to be replaced.

open the door and pull it upward to see if there is any play in the hinge.
