Okay y'all know by now this P1273 is a possible death send...here goes my tale maybe just maybe someone can help me 2004 Titan 180K

Replaced exhaust manifold drivers side. Threw p1273 within 100 miles
replaced O2 sensor for that. Threw another p1273 now i've been told we replaced upstream and downstream now. Threw again replaced the opposite side. So 4 new O2 sensors and those aren't cheap.

Vacuum test all is good no leaks in the exhaust. Mechanic is saying it could be a failing/clogged cat but that's a different code is my understanding.

The weird thing is my fuel gauge stopped working correctly. Do y'all think it could be the fuel pump and a pressure issue??

MAF checked out okay. I know this code says something about fuel pressure, but since the O2 sensors were replaced it goes about 400 miles then throws the code again

please please anybody help!

If the fuel gauge isn't working, it could be the float sensor is bad, but at 180k and 12 years old, it is very possible the fuel pump is starting to go.

On a previous vehicle of mine the fuel level quit working and shortly after the fuel pump pooped out.

I don't know on the Titan specifically, but normally the fuel level sensor and fuel pump are a single unit.

I would also suggest you look up forum member Nightowl. He is one of the resident exhaust experts and may be able to help with the codes you have.

It wouldn't be unheard of to have failing cats on an 04 with 180k miles. The problem with that is often when people find out its too late and the engine has sucked in deteriorated cat material.
