I want to try and replace the L hand gear on my forward/back adjustment of my drivers seat. Removed the seat easy enough and found no obstruction around the long screw. Moved the long screw up and down lightly and it occasionally engaged. It is definitely the gear housed inside the motor. I just cant seem to see how to remove the lower plastic trim of the seat so I can get to the motor gear box. Any tricks/diagrams available online that you all know of??... any online parts places that are easy to navigate?? thanks for looking

I have an extra motor that I got from another member but never used. I cut back on how much my seat moves (no longer moves when I turn the truck off) and it hasn't quit since. Motor's just sitting in my garage.

How did you "cut back on how much your seat moves"? I pulled the wiring harness out of my motor after getting it where I like it, but it's no longer adjustable for others without reaching under and plugging it back in.
I used to have it roll all the way back when I turned the truck off and then move forward to my set position when I turned the truck on. Eventually after 7 years I guess the motor was getting worn out. I have NAV so I turned that function off and only move it when I adjust for people getting in the back seat and I haven't had it stop working again yet.
Hey thanks for the reply... does the motor assembly include the gear set on the outside (door) side? The gear is what I really need. I cant figure out how to get the plastic covering off from around the base of the seat...any pics? instructions on the web that you know of?
Thanks for looking....
