Put new muffler on and love the sound most of the time but...about 1500-2000 rpm, which translates to about 50-65mph, the droning is driving me crazy and giving me a headache.

So I have tried in the exhaust section and didn't really get any great answers so I am turning to you sound guys for help please.

I notice that there is a heat shield over the muffler and wondered if maybe there was a heatproof material that could be glued onto this metal that might absorb the crappy sound and keep it from resonating in the cap.

I am almost to the point of putting my stock muffler back on. Yes, its that bad, especially when towing. You can see in my signature what I have.

Thanks guys!

After I wrecked my titan, the body shop put a whole new Magnaflow 22" cat-back on. The drone was horrible until I hacked off the end of the pipe. I took about 12" - 14" off total, but the drone is completely gone and the pipe is tucked up under the bed, kinda stealthy like. Search drone and you'll find plenty of testimonials.
When you say hacked off the end of the pipe, do you mean starting at the end of the tailpipe? You know, the part you see right?

So cutting that off is like tuning the sound of the system. I get it. Did it change the sound otherwise at other rpm's?

Thanks
