LOL! Yeah, guess so. I don't mind experimenting with exhaust. Been doing it for years on various vehicles. It's just that with money so tight these days, and the occasional bender at the beach taxing my wallet, I kinda wanted to get it just right the first go around.

My only concern is that using the stock 2.00" piping, going to 2.25" Y-pipe inlet to 3" outlet will somehow constrict the exhaust flow causing it to have the popping\rapsy tone I'm trying to avoid. Then again, the multi-stage increase in diamater might just be a cool logic with a jetting of the gases. LOL! I need to get a second job for mods and not care about price! ;)~

In the end, I'm sure the tone difference is negligable. We'll see how it turns out. Either way, I'm sure it'll have me smiling! :)

Now I need an intake dammit! Lmao!

i kept stock pipe diameter and it popped ONCE when i was demonstrating to my fam. it was cold. has never popped since then :)
i'm gonna go on a limb here and say that performance is a bit improved, according to the booty dyno :teethmast feels easier to go faster :coolsmile

my set up on a 2008 T:

the old stuff. i can go out and measure the 'outter diameter' and 'inner diameter' if you like so you can know f'sho and settle your curiosity?:

here you can see my stock piping on the right. the FM Y-collector on the left (now dirty/burnt looking). and then this silver piping they put in; kinda looks like they expanded (swelled) their pipes to fit over my stock pipes and welded it nice n strong, then butted it up to the FM Y. dunno if the $75 install charge included the cost of this piping :dunno:

FM Y...

BULLET. again, i did not bring that turn down into the shop and i dunno if that was included in the $75 price. maybe someone forgot to charge me? :teeth:

other various shots:

no more tip!

and more video. stock vs. bullet comparo. mostly bullet fwy driving:

Hey thanks man! Yeah, that helps me out alot. Odds are thats exactly what they'll do for mine. Granted for almost twice the price, but after so many shops and attempts, I'm just about out of patience to wait for a cheaper quote on the work.

Appreciate the post and the pics brotha!

Oh, and btw guys, anyone who is Websensed at work from seeing online images can use Rocket Surf. It doesn't work for Youtube, but it's what I use daily when I need to see the posted images from Photobucket, Imageshack, and any other online photo posting site people use. There are a few pop up ads that you have to close at times, but nothing drastic or spam like.

Lmao! The pic is classic! Yeah, It's a rarity when women are on these types of forums. Easy to forget not all women are oblivious to the inner workings of vehicles. My girlfriend however wouldn't know a catalytic converter from a hairdryer! lol

But I do love her so...

(insert poetic, romantic, and sexual reference here)

ya know, my bro in law who's dad is a mechanic kept calling my muffler a cat  i was like dude... the cats are up front, i just swapped out the muffler. he was like but what about inspections, are you gonna pass smog since you removed the cat? :bangit:
the muffler tech called the bullet a resonator, guess he wasn't aware that it's also a race muffler :coolsmile

i've been talked down to far too many times by men who think iono a thing or 2 about this stuff, so i'm here to acquire an even deeper understanding and not be dependent on foos like that to fix my baby. this site is the shizz

the muffler tech called the bullet a resonator,:
there is a member here that used these bullets as resonators. he was also using a different muffler like a magnflow, can't remember. he said it sounded nice, smooth & deep. it was an old post like back in 06.
i also read the same thing browsing the net where others have did the same thing on their trucks. sounds interesting. i might have to look into a pair 2 1/2 in/out bullets.

Woo, imagine two bullets in place of the resonators.. then keep your single bullet like it is. It would probably sound sick :D

i'm thinkin it will add a smoother, deeper tone to it. HOLY $HIT, what about these spintech guys adding a pair of bullets as resonators!!

Eddie since you are the first with the idea, why not try two bullets as resonators :D. Since you also went back to the single bullet are your pipes 2.25 or 2.5?

talked to 3 different shops and they all say using a bullet to replace your stock resos isn't gonna do nothing in sound. it's not gonna be deeper or anything. either you have resos or want to put some on, a bullet vs stock is not gonna do anything different. so, scratch that idea! you can use a bullet or any other small free flowing mufflers as resonators. as far as sound he did say to remove the resos, so... removing resos this weekend.

2.0"? My 4cyl Toyota uses 2", so I doubt your Titan is that small. On my Armada, I installed a 2.5" ID FM50, and it fit like a glove.

Side note, finally got to drive the Harley truck today with the newly added Bullet, and slow cruising and idling it sound plain nasty, but on the highway its rather quiet. No complaints though, its giving the supercharger whine a run for its money now!!
