I have a 2008 Nissan Titan SE flex fuel with 132430 miles. A few weeks ago I was curious about what it would do on e85. I switched over and was really happy with it. A tad more power, more noise if that makes any sense, and I only lost one mpg. However, last week my service engine soon light came on. I took it to autozone and it was a p1564 code. Something about replacing my cruise control switch. I never use the cruise control, so I didn’t worry about it. Yep crested it a couple times and it would work sometimes and flash on the screen sometimes. Today I filled it up and the fuel gauge still read a quarter tank. After 40 bucks worth of fuel it better not still be only a quarter tank full. Took it to autozone again, same code, except I am now getting p0463 fuel sensor codes as well. What is wrong with this thing? Thanks in advance. Sorry for the long post.

Since your 2008 is a FlexFuel truck, ignore the post above about seals and such, as your truck was built to run E85 as well as gas, and every blend in between.

Now, my guess is, the cruise control issue is totally unrelated and coincidental. The fuel sensor may be related to the alcohol in the fuel, or it may just be age/mileage related and coincidental, as well. Get it fixed and see if you continue to have issues. Also, confirm your truck is flex maybe? Run the VIN and see what Nissan says. I know my 2011 is flex, but unless you bought it new you might have a tailgate swap or some such, or miscommunication from the prior owner. Always worth checking it out. I suspect it is, as it would likely run like crap on E85 if it's not a flex fuel truck.
