EBC rotors installed incorrectly

1101 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  gotoakandfreeze
Hello,

I installed my EBC rotors with the slots facing the wrong way. :crying: I have about 40 miles on them. Should I turn them around, or leave them?

Thanks for the help!

did your instructions show the correct way? some rotors, slot or the crossed drilled do go forward.
I would turn them around. They need to be in the correct orientation for the slots to be fully effective. The EBC rotors are stamped with either a "L" or "R" to indicate which side they should be on.

Do you know where the stamps are? I panicked because my buddy saw my rotors and said that they were backwards. Since I have gone back to the web site and it appears that I have installed them properly.

The picture at the bottom shows what looks like my rotors, but I don't know about all that "Turbo Groove" stuff. Anyway, these rotors are made in reverse of PowerSlots. They are to be installed with the slots pointing forward. These (if I am looking at the picture correctly), have the slots pointing aft.

I think I did it correctly!

The stamps are on the hubs. The slots on mine angle towards the rear.
