I bought an 05 Pathfinder LE a few months back. It recently started turning off while I was driving. After some google, I found out it could be the ECM relay or IPDM. I also had a trouble code appear for crank position sensor. I replaced the crank position sensor. Now I got my new ECM relay to try before I buy the new IPDM, but cannot find a diagram of where the ECM relay goes. Why? Because the IPDM that's in my truck looks nothing like what everyone else on the planets looks like. I think it may be an updated version.
I attached the diagram for how mine looks. I found it online. It has something circled, but that is not my doing. Can anyone tell me where the ecm relay is on this diagram? Please. Thank you. I searched from 95% phone battery until now, I'm at 9% ...

If I am thinking correctly the latest version of the IPDM does not have a physical removable relay for the ECU it is rather integrated into the board.

Could be totally wrong tho so maybe someone will chime in or maybe get on the phone with a local nissan dealer. The IPDM cover that you have to remove to access it should have a layout on the underside of it for the IPDM board.

Has your rig shut down since replacing the IPDM? There are multiple threads open right now concerning the IPDM and having the truck shut off. I will provide links below so you can read these threads. I suggest you do all the diagnoses you can before you were to pull the trigger on the $300+ module.

I would suggest maybe calling Nissan to see what recalls have or have not been preformed on your truck. There are known wiring/electrical gremlins along with known fuel pump sending unit/pump issues. So I would rule out fueling being your issue too before purchasing the module.

Good luck

The crazy thing is the IPDM (which matches the diagram I posted) does NOT match the black ipdm cover. Ha. Too funny. So I am going to drop by the stealer ship tomorrow and have them pull history of truck plus look at my ipdm to see if it is in fact the updated one, and where the ecm relay is.
