I've never been a fan of removing emblems, but lets face it doing vinyl is very expensive and plasti-dip looks cheap and doesn't hold up. Since I dislike chrome more than anything I went ahead and gave it a shot, and lets be honest this truck has a ton of chrome (unless you have a Pro4x). I'll reference the expression, "Don't knock it till you try it," because I think I'll be doing this to all my future vehicles as the preferred solution to getting rid of some chrome. But to each their own just my opinion.

Removal process: Heat with heat-gun or hairdryer (what I had) to each emblem before removal with fishing line. This process only took me a few minutes to remove ALL emblems. Removing the glue is the hard part. Since there is a lot of excess glue with Titan, I had to remove the first major layer by hand which then leaves a thin film. I used goo-gone and a micro-fiber towel to remove the thin layer which took several hours. I'm sure if you used a polishing wheel with degreaser compound you could shave off a lot of time I just didn't have one available.

I'm not a fan of chrome either, nor like all the dealer bs they put on vehicles so I also strip emblems that are glued on as well. Looks great!

Yeah for sure. And anytime I take delivery of a new vehicle I always say no dealer stickers or plate frames, etc. Last thing I wanna do is advertise for them and also it looks like crap lol.

If it does have it on there, they better give me one heck of a deal. Free oil changes don't cut it for me though because I don't trust the grease monkey they usually task with that job and it's a PITA to go to the dealership for something that easy to do at home.

I have never had a problem with plasti dip. Planning to try mine out this weekend on my white Pro4x. Debating to remove the Nissan badge but dont want to spend hours taking off the glue. hmmm..
You do realize the rear Nissan badge is recessed thus will leave you an empty metal circle. I'd just plasti-dip it as its really the only option.

I was referring to the wording of Nissan on the back of the truck, but that is not there apparently. Just TITAN and PRO-4X which I am ok with keeping. I wonder how the Nissan logo will look blacked out hmmm.
I actually plasti-dipped my rear Nissan logo and it look good however I didn't take any pics. I did a minor rub test after applying 5 coats and it came off quite easily so I took it off.

Besides the fishing line trick, I used a plastic scapper, that won't scratch or mar the finish and acetone. I don't know why everybody shys away from acetone, it works very fast at removing the glue residue and flashes off faster than other products. I used/use acetone to debadge my '14 with no paint damage. I also use acetone to clean road tar, tree sap and other hard to get off goo. I am not recommending that everybody use it, since it could damage the paint if you left a soaking rag on the surface for a prolonged period of time, but it works great.
