Hello,

I have some questions about engine coolant and water dripping from the exhaust.

I recently got 30,000 service and the dealer recommended to flush the coolant. According to the owner's manual, coolant is good for 105,000 miles. I just checked the coolant level, and it seems little low. Can I just add some nissan coolant or ya'll think it should be covered under the warranty? or does it even need to be flushed at all?!

Another question is that there is some water dripping from the pipe. I understand it's normal water coming out of the exhaust but is it normal that water drips on the pipe?

Any feedbacks will be greatly appreciated.

Leave the coolant alone it’s blue good for over 100k. My 2011 Titan used the blue coolant and I did a drain and refill at 4yrs and 100k.. zero deposits in radiator and old fluid looked great…

Looks like dealer trying to make a buck or two…

The coolant should be Nissan long life blue in color rated forv10 years and I believe 120,000 miles. A change prior to that is unnecessary and they know it.
The exhaust is just dripping condensation so no issue.

U could always go and buy a $20 gallon and add a few oz..

Buy a gallon at the dealer it’s pre diluted and add it to the full line or seam in the plastic tank. It will lower over time and the dealer doesn’t maintain it. They should not even consider doing a flush with so little mileage. Hope you’re enjoying the truck.

When I get my oil changed at the dealer, they top off all the fluids. They told me Tuesday they added a little to the coolant because it was low in the reservoir and, of course, Tried to tell me I needed to change it for 150 bucks

If the manual said something different than why did you let the dealer do it?

I no longer change coolant on vehicles. That's when problems start. Noticed that years ago on my own vehicles and friends/co-workers vehicles.

So here some inside to my situation with my 2021 p4x I have been smelling a faint coolant smell since I bought the truck. At first thought it was odd but delt with it. I am building a camp in the mountains about 116 miles from my house. I noticed one day I was low on coolant in the overflow tank(ie. the pressure tank) I added about a pint. After doing some moderate wheeling I stopped for a few and could hear the coolant bubbling over out of the tank like I had too much in the system. A small puddle on the ground. Took it to the dealer and had them flush and fill and pressure test. All came back normal. I drove the truck for 3 weeks still smelling a faint antifreeze smell.I was coming back from the mountains I lost my heat Immediately I was able to stop and fill the tank. Heat back no issue. Took it back Monday did another pressure test and found a small leak that was vaporizing the fluid and that’s what I could smell. Nissan ordered another radiator genuine p4x part and installed it and pressed it up and that too was leaking the same way and place. They are overnighting another one for tomorrow morning. We will see may be a QC issue on the radiator. All that said if you smell coolant and the dealer says it’s normal you may have the same issue. It did hold pressure at first but after 4 minutes it was leaking. A little upsetting for a new truck with 23000 miles but I am QA Specialist for NAVSEA so I do understand a ratio of failures. Still best truck on the market for what we get. Just be conscious.

Make sure the correct cap is installed on the overflow tank. There are two caps, one on the expansion tank which I believe has a pressure rating. The other one on the radiator does not. There is a cautionary statement on the expansion tank cap as well.

He’s correct the cap on the radiator just has a flat rubber seal, the spring cap is on the expansion tank.
The Titan is a great truck, hope it gets sorted out soon.

Holy cow this south Texas boy would die..

Can't imagine starting the “T” in that cold of weather.. When we had Uri down here in Texas last February my Titan rattled for like 5 seconds when I started it at 12 degree temps!!

Nothing really wants to start when it’s this cold but she fired right up and was not screaming at me too bad. Seat heaters steering wheel heater and it’s still too cold. Only happens a couple times a year. Definitely put the coolant system to the test.

Glad 2nd radiator is working good but it's only 30 degrees in Dallas haha

It was 65 today. I wouldn't even try to start anything in negative temps
