I don't know if this helps or not but my son did an engine swap in his 06 flex fuel. He had to swap in another 06 flex fuel.

Armada is the same engine. If you had a Titan and Armada side by side you would be hard pressed to tell the difference when looking in the engine bay. However, I've heard that the Armadas are tuned differently from the factory than the Titan.

Armada and titan would have the same motor, yes. Tuning is slightly different, but if you keep the ECU thats in your truck, it would never know the difference.

2007+ has different heads, and CVVT (i think thats what its called, it has to do with valve timing), so in order to put on of those in, you would have to swap over EVERYTHING. Harness, fuse blocks, ECU, BCU, TCU, transmission etc.

2wd to 4wd still uses the same motor, so it doesn't matter if a 4wd motor goes into a 2wd.
