I got a notice from Nissan that the Evaporative Emission Vapor Vent Tube warranty was extended to 150k miles or 15 years.

Notice from Nissan attached.

Can someone tell me what this means? Or problems I would see if the tube is clogged?

I rcd the same and like you scratched my head. I believe, but am not certain, that it pertains to the evap solenoid under the bed and connected to the cannister.....which I just replaced on my dime this spring. I bought a Dorman solenoid because it has a lifetime warranty at about half the price of OEM. OEM doesn't have a strong warranty and is, well, expensive if you have to pay.

Your belief is in error. This campaign applies only to the vent TUBE being clogged, NOT the evaporative solenoid. The problem with this campaign is my local dealer says you'll PAY for the inspection if the evaporative vent tube is not clogged and other parts (solenoid, gas gauge, etc) are defective.

I have a 2005 I bought used and have never been able to fill the tank.
Should I chance the inspection????

Thanks....

Your call. But if the dealership finds it's not the evaporative tube causing the problem, they may (at a minimum) charge you to diagnose the problem, or fix the issue and charge you accordingly. The campaign is not a freebee...
