I'm looking to replace my exhaust in a couple of months. What way should i go, prefabed cat back or custom cat back? I want to run 2.5" true duals with a X pipe and flowmasters out the back. The shop by the house uses a crimp bender, no one in town has a mandrel bender, so 2.25" will cause to much of a flow lose. I love the flowmaster sound but i'm open to new ideas. I want max HP over sound but
no old school glass pack rapping.:hellno:

Your parameters are kind of restrictive. You may have better luck asking for opinions on one or the other, performance or sound because if you go large without really drawing some air in with a larger throttle body (PGM) and or cams, you will probably loose a fair bit of low end power. I myself am considering a semi custom Nismo exhaust with a make shift cross pipe if that helps you any. Good luck and happy modding.

PGM been there installed that, i received #5, with a volant CAI. I said i was open to new options. So far over at MT i got a custom duel 2.25 W/ magnaflows, at CT i got a JBA cat back. Any other options for the titan?

Are there any local hot rod shops in your area? They're great resources for finding good exhaust builders. Do not go with the crimp bender!

Mandrel bending machines are expensive and not a common machinery in most avarage exhaust shops. I doubt you could find one with said machine within a hundred miles in your locality.

HOWEVER, "good" exhaust shops can TIG or MIG weld "pre-bent" Mandrels to complete a custon set-up. Shop around and talk to reputable performace exhaust shops. They can order bre-bent mandrels ahead of time to complete your project. This was how my
"2.5 inch true dual + x-pipe + cat-delete system got completed.

Good Luck

If you talk with the guys on the forum who do a lot of racing, they will tell you that an engineered cat back exhaust kit will provide better HP increase than a custom one from a local shop.

Did you loose any low end with the 2.5, heard it will be a noticable loss.
