Hey guys, im new to the site and just thought I'd ask anyone with personal experience for some help.

I'm looking for some type of exhaust to put on the titan, kinda leaning toward a magnaflow possibly, but I'd much prefer an electronic cutout.

I found this video of the sound I'm looking for, although its on a dodge rather than a titan.

Any titan video's I've seen with cutouts sound awesome but have that popping noise at high rpms.

If anybody can tell me how to achieve the sound on the above clip in a titan please let me know! Also if thats not possible, is it worth it to go with dual cutouts? or just 1 before the muffler. Thanks a lot guys

Welcome! Definitely a nice clip there, sounds nasty when they are open. I have not seen many on here with e-cutouts, and consensus is that they seem to fail alot. Maybe that's why...

Best bet is to look at the Nismo exhaust and don't bother adding an Xpipe. For BIG sound and budget purposes Flowmaster is supposed to be a solid choice. I wanted Inexpensive + Performance + nice deeper tone so went went Magnaflow and couldnt be much happier.

I do love the sound of pretty much all of the FM models out there, but I'm personally just searching for the ability to pick when I want to be loud, and vice versa. I know there are many e - cutouts that are notorious for failing, whether it be over heated wires, or the motor wearing out, but I've got a buddy that has had cutouts on an old mustang for a few years now without any trouble.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 2008.5 model lost the Y pipe, for something else, I forgot where I read that on the forum.
If I wanted to achieve this sound, would headers be a must? Or would a simple install after the cats be enough?

If you get the Flowmaster c/b, you could swap out the 70 series it comes with for a louder Orig. 40 series or Super 44 series by getting a couple of adapter pipes to compensate for the different lengths of the mufflers. You could take it out/swap it around whenever you felt the need to.
