i guess its becoming more common. There are other threads on this subject. As long as you still have warranty left you should be fine

Remember warranty coverage is 8 yrs-80,000 50 states.
Don't let your dealer tell you any different. The integrated cat converter in these manifolds is what extends the warranty coverage

I just took my titan in to have my exhaust checked out due to a leak that I could hear. They told me that both exhaust manifolds are cracked and it would cost $2000 to fix. I researched this here at Titan talk and discovered the 8yr/80000 emmison warranty would cover it. I printed off the discusion and took it with me to the dealer. I went directly to the service manager (by-passing the service writer, who knows nothing) with the printout. He researched it and confirmed that it is covered by warranty. He will order both exhaust manifolds and call me to schedule a fix time after they get them in. ( I have no idea how long that will take) My truck has 66,000 miles. My concern is will the exhaust manifolds keep cracking. The service manager said he replaced 5 of them in one Titan (He said that truck had a high lift kit).

We must get the message out to everyone before their Titan reaches the 80,000 miles warranty expiration. Can this info be giving in a sticky??

Nice to hear that the forum saved you $2000  If things are still the same, the manifolds come in either a week or are backordered and can take longer.

is there any chance that it could be just the gaskets? i was told those arent covered by the warranty
It's the exhaust manifolds. I waited 4 months(backordered) to get mine. It was covered by warranty and Desert Nissan did the work. There is a new part number that replaces the old p/n.

Glad to hear you used your information correctly,it sounds like it was well worth it.
These are all cracking in the same area, hopefully a redesign will be coming soon.

What area are they cracking in? My truck has made what sounds to me like an exhaust leak since i bought it about a month ago but its not that loud. Also it doesnt make any of the noise until i start driving so idk, it hasnt gotten any louder so im not sure its a leak.

There is much confusion amongst dealers as to whether these are Powertrain or Federal coverage.
On some models{not the 5.6 V8},if the cat can be removed from the manifold, the coverage is powertrain only. The Titan has an integrated converter that can not be removed making complete replacement necessary.
Most of the manifold/cats are cracking where the rear #7 or #8 cylinders enter the collector.Picture a set of headers, there is a flange where the exhaust tubes mount to the cyl heads. For some unknown reason this flange has a 1/4 inch cut seperating the rear cylinders on each side.So in essence the front 3 cylinders are mounted to the heads and supported from torque, twisting, and heat expansion by this flange. The rear cylinder on each side are on their own and only being supported from where they bolt to the head..In addition, the rear tube is closest to the heat of the integrated cat and probably carrying most of the weight of this also.
This is usually where they are all cracking.
Because of the integrated Cat Converter, the warranty coverage is covered by the Federal Emissions Warranty 8 yr-80,000 miles

I just noticed my exhaust was getting noisier (pass side) in the last couple of weeks. I just made an appointment and do not look forward to the dealer saying "no warranty.....lift kit" which iseems to always be the case when I go there. Wish me luck.

I lifted mine a year after buying it and have never had a problem with my dealer because of it. The service guys I talk to are always asking me what my latest mods are.

Your lift kit has done absolutely nothing to cause this.Your warranty must be honored on everything except the areas of any alteration or damage caused subsequentially.
