Hi All,
I'm trading in my 05 LE KC for an 08 LE CC long bed in a month. I'm planning on keeping this one for a while and was pondering whether to purchase an extended warrantee from the dealer or one of the "aftermarket" ones you see advertized here every once in a while. I know the dealer makes a killing on selling these things and the price has got to be better buying from another source.

Have any of you gone with a non dealer extended warrantee? Is the service as good or does it make no differece where you bought it?

Any input would be appreciated.

Buy the Nissan factory warranty. Too many aftermarket companies go out of business and you're screwed when you have a break down. There is a huge mark up on them. I got the Nissan 5 year 100,000 mile policy for $1050.00. They showed me the carbon copies prior to mine and some paid as much as $1900 for the exact same policy.

the aftermarket insurer does as well.....still a better idea to get the warranty through your dealer though

Good point. This dealer has been very good to me as well, so I might as well give them the business.

Even if the after market company doesn't go out of business, alot of mechanics won't honor certain waranty companies because they have such a hard time getting their money from them. Your smart for going with the extended factory warranty.

yea factory warranty is the best bet, my factory warranty is now gone as of a week or so ago. i talked to a salesman that worked at my toyota dealer and went to nissan and hes is gonna help me get it a little cheaper.

Most dealers are selling aftermarket extended warranties anyway. I have paperwork that states I can get most of the money back if I don't use it. That's a good thing if you upgrade after a few years.
