I was installing my seat covers yesterday and I removed the center seat (SE bench seat) and there was a cup holder console under there. I had no idea it was there and why would Nissan waist money and put them in these trucks. It is about the same as $2.50 autoparts store console/cupholder.

Was this a option on the XE for 2005?

All Titans equipped with the split bench seat have the hidden cup holders.

I guess Nissan had a few thouasand of those cup holders left over from the Hardbody trucks to use instead of spending time on designing a new cover for the air bag module.

Some of us believe it is a carryover from the never produced Titan "E" Model, which was to be the work truck edition when the Titan was introduced. Just no need to change the design afterwards, and it serves its dual purpose well as a cover for the Air Bag control. You can remove the center seat permanently if you like, and violo! A 5 seater with more storage room!

This is not my truck, i copied the pics from another members system install. Yes, i have a kid, just don't have the time to build a box for my L7 10's. Here is a old link to the same topic.

i LIKE THE CUP HOLDER kNOW i HAVE BUCKET SEATS AND THE CUPHOLDERS HOLD THE DRINKS BETTER THAN THE LARGE CONSOLE.
