No matter what the dial is set to the fan stays on high, I changed the VBC but no change. What else should I try?

2008 Nissan Titan XE
The knob turns off and on but when on even on low the fan stays on high.

Maybe it's the switch itself. You could use a multimeter to see if the output is changing when you turn the fan to different speed. You would have to check it in ohms for resistance I would think, voltage might not change.

On my wife's van when the fan got stuck on high it was a sensor in the A/C duct, behind the glove box. $50 part. Sorry I don't remember what it was called. It turned out that was just the start of other electrical issues. :( I hope yours isn't going that way.

I just replaced my blower motor resistor (VCM or whatever its called on a titan the 4 bladed thing that takes 30 seconds to change). Started getting the clicking noises again and fan is still stuck on high. Did you find a resolution? Does that silver square box below the blower fan itself have anything to do with it?

On my 2004 Armada, the air conditioning would work only on Max. Replaced the resistor pack and did not notice any difference, fan speeds 1 thru 4 would not work but it would on Max. Found that if I tried to use lower fan speed it would not work unless I pushed the air button again to turn on the compressor. Something about switching to Max air would engage the compressor but when switching back would turn it off, all I had to do was push the air button again to turn the compressor back on and then speeds 1 thru 4 would work.

Front Air Control Module is the same thing as the VBC that plugs into the blower that I already replaced ain't it??

Had same problem, switched to a genuine Toyota resistor and problem solved, resistance was different from the aftermarket one
