I took the exhaust off my 2015 Crewcab SV, it has 10K miles on it. I am located in Central Jersey, if you are close by we can arrange a drop off point or some kind of deal, shipping wouldn't be a good idea. Not sure if anyone needs this but I figured id post it. I can text pictures if need be!! Thanks!

Damn... I'm in upstate NY (an hour below Albany) ... if i wasn't 3 hours from the Jersey border I'd take you up on this in a heartbeat...

I just discovered that in addition to the long list of other issues that "passed by" the CPO inspection... my "New to me" Lia Nissan of Saratoga "Ceritified" 2012 SV CC has a big ol' band clamp on the tail pipe where the flange should be and looks like it is not likely to make it much past this winter.

Shucks...

Hey I don't want to take advantage of you but as far as I know if you have a CPO then they HAVE to fix the exhaust then. My understanding is a CPO (Certified Pre Owned) is a vehicle that comes with a warranty just like if you bought the truck brand new. Bring it back to the dealer. Otherwise if interested pm

I don't know if I want to let these folks anywhere near my truck... and... I didn't take any pics of the clamp when I got the truck home... so my word against theirs I guess...

That said... maybe I'll give Nissan a call directly... I could probably take it to another dealership... hmmmmm

Reasons I wont bring it back...
They lied about doing the CPO inspection...they simply didn't do it. Hell ...they lied about the NYS DMV inspection too
(no e-brake at all and a backup lamp out 2 hours after driving out of the dealership)
They showed me a list of parts they supposedly put on my truck while we were negotiating, quite a long one... and told me that it was like $2000 worth... but after examining the truck... the only parts they really did change from the whole list were rotors and pads.(they lied about wiper blades.. really...)
They reported to CarFax, that they had changed the oil, oil filter, air filter and cabin filter...but did none of those (Air had about 30k on it, cabin filter was absent, they never took the skid pan off the truck to get to the oil filter... I know this cause one of the bolts broke off under the bumper(that was fun) when I changed the filthy oil myself and the oil filter was no where near new.

The only reason I didn't turn them into the state, call Nissan, CarFax, and the BBB, was because they sent me a pile of parts to make it right... a big pile.

The only reason they sent me that pile of parts, is because I threatened to return the truck (it was within 3 days), call the state about them cheating on the inspection, and call the BBB. I did this, immediately when they started the "sorry but he isn't here right now" game on the second phone call to try and get help... I made it clear I wasn't a victim in waiting.

Hehehe... you probably didn't need all that... sorry, I'm still angry with them...I keep finding things.. like band clamps where flanges should be...it wasn't even a proper weld up fix.

PM coming your way on the exhaust offer...

F that, lemon law, get a lawyer lol. that's a lot. id still report them to the state even after they gave you the parts to make it right (they shouldn't have had to do that from the start if they were doing what they were supposed to be doing). that's horrible man, and right around Christmas too?!?!?!?!? you have to report that as they are doing that to more people than just you and god forbid they do it to a family that doesn't know how to handle a situation like that or is scared to, not good.

Bought the truck October 1 ... still feeling guilt over not reporting to the attorney general or the BBB...for the exact reasons you share above... I just worked it out with them and got what I needed to move on... With job stress and a busy life, then this piled on top, I just wanted to take care of it and be done.

Enough of my HiJacking your thread... I started a new one about the CPO call...

Someone buy this gentleman's exhaust... you wont find a fairer deal, nor a more decent person to deal with.
