Few Q?'s about Titan center console from a column shift guy

So, when I bough my Titan many years ago I thought I NEEDED the 6 passenger capacity of the column shift Titan.
Turns out, never needed it!
Took a long road trip recently, wasn't too impressed with front seat storage with the front bench.

So....

How's the arm rest on the center console Titans? The arm rest on my bench seat Titan is even with the door panel so I can arm-rest both arms evenly. The center console arm rest appears kinda low in pics? Do you guys find it at "the right height" actually?

Which center console style has rear air vents? Is it the Armada? I have seen the DIY threads but they don't get too specific about what model has what. There is good info about adding the ducting.

I'm thinking of doing a Gen2 Titan style center console: keep column shifter and just add the center console, converting the shifter opening into a storage bin or installing OEM cupholders.

I'd like the extra space of the side pockets, cupholders and all of the switch spots.

you can get a qx56 leather padded arm rest/console cover that fits just like the titans, but it is more plush and could be used as an arm rest...people want an arm and a leg for them tho. not sure what the height would be like, probably not much taller than the titans if at all

Funny how people mention that the center console is too low for an arm rest - it's exactly what I use it for!
I personally find that the bucket seat arm rest is useless for me. I put the arm rest down and my arm goes well past it and sit's comfortably on the center console. I'm too wide shouldered for the arm rest I guess, my arm slips right off it and lands on the center console. Which works fine for me

Perhaps come summer time without a bulky jacket on it might be a different story, but for now it's the center console as an arm rest for me

Good points, I think I need to hit up a used car lot and check out how the Titan center console really is. Don't want to upgrade the seats too, unless I can score a decent deal on them.

I got a junk collector/organizer that fits on the floor under the jump seat. Lots of storage now maybe too much!

I don't "NEED" the extra storage space, I was using that as an excuse. We took a long road trip, had the kid in the jumpseat to watch DVDs on the Pioneer NEX, and he found it super-uncomfortable.

I was totally on-board with swapping over to the center console until a few members brought up the arm-rest thing. I love a proper arm-rest, if I ruin the arm-rest setup and need to swap out to captain chairs I may as well give up

Oh yeah that jump seat doesnt look comfortable. I dont use mine. I just like that big picnic table console for a work truck because I can do paper work, use my laptop, and eat a multi course meal! Lol. I find it comfortable for an arm rest.

Mine has captains though... just not in the middle. I think this whole center jump seat could be pulled out and replaced with something else with a little fabbing. Maybe a seat from a little car? Probably would look stupid but might be more functional. Certainly cheaper than a new truck! They should have just made it into a massive storage thingy. Only people i see using these jump seats are construction crews who can only have one vehicle on site. Maybe they only ride a couple miles jammed in there.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A I get it now you want three seats across the front. You would have to do custom for sure. It would be nice if the bench middle was indented so that person sat back a few inches from the driver, passenger. To bad you can put seats in the bed like a Subaru Baja
