Hey everybody, i ordered the stuff for my long tube install, basically im starting small and working my way in steps. Since the exhaust thats in my truck is completely hacked *** backwards, i've been trying to get it back to be right without dozens of leaks through it all. Video of my exhaust now.

So i purchased a stock catback out of a '13 with a few thousand miles for $60, and then i purchased a stock set of b-pipes with cats for $40. Now just today i ordered my JBA LT's from Cajun. So far im in it about $600 and im completely replacing my exhaust from motor to tip. (I will be upgrading B-pipes and catback later, im just on a good budget for now, and im doing it in steps).

Now my questions are this; i understand that on a 4x4 its a little bit harder to install, but my truck has a 3" body lift, and it seems to be pretty damn easy to get to all of the exhaust, does the body lift make the procedure easier? Or is it something else that makes it hard? Im hoping because of the body lift i wont have to lift the motor to get them out, would that be possible? I wont mind obviously about cutting the exhaust up....

My next question is, is there any guys in Ca running the LT's with stock cats in the B-pipes and passing emissions? I understand as well that it wont pass visual, but what about the sniffer? It would be a lot easier to get it smogged in CA if it will still pass the sniffer... If not, it will just have to get it hot smogged.

Thanks guys,
Daniel

Stock bpipes will not pass as you will have a light. The cats have to be moved forward and sensor placed behind the cat and Uprev tuned to keep the light off. That's exactly why Cajun Bpipes are custom made to run with LT's.

The body lift really won't help you in any way with the install. The motor needs to be lifted to give you room between the engine and frame rails. Don't be afraid to jack up the motor. It's just loosening 12 bolts and jacking the motor up with your floor jack. It's like an extra 15 minutes of work and your knuckles will thank you.
