Most people live with in so many miles from the firehouse that they volunteer at I'm sure. I live about 1/2 mile from mine and I don't see the point of putting lights all over my truck. I'm sure any Titan owner could give you a list of better things to spend your money on.

Another plus with lights etc is to help alert other traffic at a scene, especially if regular equipment hasn't arrived yet.

Have seen it help several times in rural Oregon, as well as in South Carolina.

You have to have 360 visibility of lights and a siren. And to the ones saying civilians dont need emergency lights I need them because people drive 5 miles below the speed limit where I live, on the way to my station there are many hidden driveways that I like to alert people i am going faster than they think for my saftey and theirs. Also I am not an Idiot who runs 20 over the speed limit, I run 10 over max and just would like to be able to go 10 over instead of 5 below. By the way I dont consider volunteers civilians there are many guys who have the same if not more training and experience than some full time guys.
